The most popular all-in-one app in Southeast Asia. Use it for cars (GrabCar), scooters (GrabBike), food (GrabFood), groceries (GrabMart) and parcel delivery.

Grab vs Gojek — when to use which

RidesGrab usually has more cars in tourist areas (Canggu, Seminyak, Uluwatu) with shorter waits. Gojek is often a bit cheaper, especially for scooter rides (GoRide).
Food deliveryGoFood has the widest selection of local warungs and Indonesian restaurants. GrabFood is stronger for international chains, cafés and Western spots.
Groceries & essentialsGrabMart is the easiest for supermarket runs (Pepito, Popular). Gojek's GoMart and GoShop are better when you need a pharmacy item or a quick errand.
TipInstall both — prices and wait times vary by area and time of day. Compare and pick the cheaper or faster one.

ScooterShort trips around Canggu / Berawa: IDR 10,000 – 25,000. Faster in traffic, but no helmet provided for passengers.
CarLocal rides (2-5 km): IDR 30,000 – 80,000. Airport to Canggu: IDR 150,000 – 250,000 depending on time of day.
SurgePrices can jump 1.5-2x during rush hour (07:30-09:00, 17:00-19:00) and on rainy days. If one app is surging, try the other.
Check fareEnter your destination and both apps show a fixed estimate before you tap Confirm. Compare the two side-by-side — the cheaper option can save IDR 20,000-50,000 on longer rides.

Drivers and delivery riders work hard for small fares. A tip of IDR 5,000 – 20,000 in the app or in cash means a lot and is always appreciated.
